Frie Børnehaver is an association for self-governing or private kindergartens in Denmark. We set up, run and administrate day nurseries, kindergartens and after-schools all over the country.
The object of the Frie Børnehaver is to:
- contribute to the aim, that every child and young can have a free, qualified pedagogic day-care institution offer
- set up and run day-institutions and second homes
- promote the thought of joint second homes for children and adults, any age
- cause and participate in the public discussion about the circumstances of children and young
- operate to obtain good leisure offers - cultural offers - to children and young as well as their parents
- to participate in and contribute to the discussion about raising up children and young to democracy and solidarity through meetings and courses
Frie Børnehaver services our institutions by, among other things, doing the account (wages, budget etc.). But we offer much more than administrative solutions. Our accountants are economic consultants as well, helping in larger economical arrangements, wage negotiations with the staff and counselling in judicial questions.
Frie Børnehaver is also known for its keen, green profile. Our nature interpretator inspires and helps in working with nature and environmental activities, and we run a nature farm for children.
The association has three psychologists employed, advising the staff how to prepare a delicate conservation with parents and supporting in concrete child matters.
Two pedagogical consultants render pedagogic counselling, help in elaborating the pedagogic purposes and prepare a parental meeting or a staff weekend session.
And furthermore, concrete assistance in staff cases is given.
Finally Frie Børnehaver offers our clientele consultative assistance in many other ways.
